Does anybody know if you can add a leveling kit to a suspension lift for extra clearance? I have a 6" suspension lift on my D-max with 35" tires. I would like to run 37" tires. Will it work to add a leveling kit so the total lift would be 8"? Is this enough clearance for 37's?

i think a leveling kit is just an adjustment on the control arms but i could be wrong

spody would be the one to talk to about this as he's been researching lifts kits for his truck like crazy and seeing what will clear what with what tires lol

Leveling kit is pretty much a coil spacer, on a Dodge with front coils anyways.

Honestly I haven't even looked at the leveling kits but I'm pretty sure they are just torsion keys that are clocked different to add the lift needed. They might work but they will also add extra stress on ball joints and other components.
I know some 6" kits will clear 37's with the right wheel/tire combination.
You may be able to add certain components to your existing lift to achieve the desired height. Check with Pro Comp
It all comes down to how much you want to spend. Sometimes it's better to spend more initially to save maintenence down the road. I still haven't decided which route I'm gonna go yet.

Check this site out. They also have pics of 6" lifts w/ 37's and have a # you can call to find out what you need.

Purpose of the leveling kit is: just to bring front level with rear as you will find under no load situations trucks are not level. As Cody mentioned do not cut corners on lift as you will end up spending more when it comes to tire wear, ball joints etc and a bunch of items that will totally kill your budget. Also do not look at a lift for flexibility on newer trucks as a store bought lift will be a mall crawler. All they do is move attach points down or away from frame to create clearance. Then longer linkage/ arms/tractionbars and swaybars are added to make it driveable.

Best plan is to be realistic on what you want to use the truck for
