has anyone you know chopped the fiberglass top on a jeep before.. i wanna chop about 2 feet outta it ..then mold the back part to it.. kinda like a very very very small box of a truck..then put a roll bar in the back.. just like a scrambler has.. i could buy one but they want 1300$$ plus shipping.. now ive never fiberglassed and am concerned about the back part blowin off one day while on the whitemud(see: shitty deal)..

then hey broncobabe can you and cody bend me up a roll bar.. hahahahaha

actually just hoping you did.. i do know how to barter for sum tube work.. i got 2 chickens, a goat and a map. the map will lead you on an exciting journey into mind twisting challenges that will lead from place to place eventually leading to the burried treasure.. yaaaarrrrrggg

I saw a thread on Broncozone awhile back where a guy did that with the fiberglass canopy on a fullsize Bronco. Kinda cool. It would be hard to make it look good I think, if you have no experience. Could end up looking like its held together with bubblegum

It's easier than you think. As for flying off at speed, laminate a couple strips of aluminum inside there to keep it one piece.

If you have done drywall taping, the same kind of bulge will be there, but it will be about 7' in the air and not very noticable.

I can chop it for you ....I used to splice flip front ends from a semi . It takes a little time but it won`t cost you anywhere near 1300.00

I have a bender but am in Calgary, and prefer not to do the welding. And wont be able to do anything til after May long at the earliest.
