We are currently looking into adding some auto resizing software for all of the pictures posted, however in the time i would like to ask any users wanting to post pictures to either please link them from a different web page or take the time to resize the picture before posting it.

A good size for a picture is roughly 800 x 640 and it won't take up two screens worth on the site.

If you do not have any photo editing software on your computer please visit Irfanview for their free download. I use their editing software for all of my pictures and it's very easy to navigate through.

Quick instructions on how to resize a picture with Irfanview. Make sure the picture is opened with the Irfanview software. At the top click on "Image" then click on "Resize" then select the appropriate size from the right that you wish to have the picture. Click on the little white circle beside the size that you wish to have the picture. Click on "Save as" if you wish to save the original larger version as well as the smaller version. Click on "Save" is you only want to save the smaller version.

If anyone has any other questions please free to post up or pm me. And please be patient while we can hopefully get this figured out and not have the enourmous pictures in threads

HOW TO LINK A PICTURE FROM FACEBOOK

ok there have been a few posts where people are upset about albums being linked from facebook

so in order to clear up some confusion here is a quick method that will allow you to directly link pictures from facebook. i'll even include screen shots to better explain what i'm talking about

first click on the pic from the album that you want to upload

Image

then right click on the picture to bring up the properties window

Image

then highlight the address (URL) and copy that url

Image

then come to adventure and click on "post new reply"

at the very top of the reply screen you will see a tool bar that says "B" "i" "u" and so on, the button that you want to click is the Img

this will bring up two image tags [img][/img]

paste the url that you copied from the properties page in between those image tags and it will post the picture for you

hope that is clear as mud

I know I am new here but I was just browsing through the site and figured I would throw some input in here. I have a feeling that facebook is eventually not going to allow linking to photos on their site. I have found the best place to store, organize, and share photos online from is Photobucket. Really easy to use, really easy to post from. The images already have the proper code attached so you can just copy the proper link from below the pic. They are super reliable and have never let me down. You can also resize pics as you upload them to Photobucket.

Speaking of picture resizing. You NEED to find the Windows Picture Resizing Tool. It's a powertoy that can be downloaded from the Windows site. Search for Windows Powertoys. There are a ton of sweet add-ons for windows but the picture resizer is awesome. You can just right click on any picture in your files and the option to resize is right in the list that pops up. You can choose a few different sizes and whether it makes a copy or resizes the original. It is by far the simplest way to reduce the size of pictures.

Hope this is useful info...
