How do these look for specs on a set of aluminum heads im looking at.

Intake Port Volume
210cc

Exhaust Port Volume
70cc

Combustion Chamber
60cc

Intake Valve Size
2.02"

Exhaust Valve Size
1.60"

Valve Stem Dia.
11/32"

Intake Port Size
2.10" W x 1.30" T

Exhaust Port Size
1.40" W x 1.40" T

Spring Pocket Dia.
1.650"

Plug
Angle

Weight (per head)
23 lbs.

Are these going to be too big? I'm going to put a aluminum air gap intake on it also and a cam kit with aluminum roller rockers. Suggestions or someone who has built up one of these 302s would be great. And yes im removing the fuel injection system, please dont try and change my mind i would much rather run carb.

First time you get on any serious angles(side or front/back) your gonna wish you had FI. I can understand that you may be more comfortable with carb but a FI system corrects itself. You won't have to keep tuning and tinkering. Single best upgrade on any rig is to FI. IMO

Spody i've heard that lots, but from what i understand the truck avenger carb is supposed to be able to handle the extreme angles. Its also not a crazy 4x4 rig, its just somethign to go out in the bush with. As for the tuning and stuff, well i enjoy that, always tinkering with it, tryin to get that extra little bit that i'll never find but have to keep trying for. carbs are nice and simple, and best of all, easy to fix.

more food for thought for you ford man, i have the truck avenger on my truck and i'm looking at adapting chevy tbi parts onto the 460 to get rid of the carb issue. the angles aren't as bad as the steep hills. fuel drains out of the bowls fast no matter what carb it is
